I really loved this product; it was in excellent condition and easy to assemble. The lights are fantastic, and I appreciate the ability to switch them on and off. Unfortunately, it just won’t stay put—it keeps falling over. It’s not stable enough for my porch, and I often find it blown across the front yard when I come home. It’s disappointing because I genuinely enjoy it. If you can find a way to secure it, I’d recommend purchasing it; otherwise, you might want to keep it indoors.

This is one of our best Halloween purchases! The design, materials, and assembly are all top-notch. We gave it four stars instead of five because the instructions don’t clarify how to adjust the various lighting patterns, and it doesn’t remember the selected lighting mode when re-plugged or connected to an outdoor timer.
Putting it together took just a few minutes using the provided instructions. We positioned it at our front door, connecting the plug assembly to a waterproof SOCKiTBOX via an outdoor extension cord, ensuring there are no exposed electrical connections and keeping the pumpkin’s control box dry from the elements.
Keep in mind that it doesn’t have an on/off switch; you turn it on and off by plugging and unplugging it. Once powered, it cycles through different lighting modes until you change them using a button on the control box. I recommend using an outlet timer switch to manage when it turns on and off. We use a WeMo WiFi Smart Outdoor Plug, which is simple to set up with the WeMo App.
To secure it against windy conditions, we placed three small red bricks on the base stand we bought at Home Depot for just $0.48 each. If you’re setting it up on the lawn, three stakes are included for anchoring it down.
There are several lighting options, including steady on, fade, twinkling, flashing, and more, all controlled by a small, weatherproof button on the top of the control unit. We didn’t discover this button until two days after setup since it’s not mentioned in the instructions. If you don’t choose a specific lighting pattern, it will just cycle through all the effects.
We also set it on a timer to activate at night for a few hours and again in the morning. However, it seems to lose its settings when power is turned off and back on with the timer.
Overall, I highly recommend this for a unique outdoor display that should last for years!
