Overall, this is a fantastic bank. I wanted something reminiscent of the one I had as a child to give to my daughter, and this one is perfect. I appreciate that there’s no way to access the money, allowing it to build up over time.
However, I did have an issue with the eyes. Mine arrived missing an eye decal (just a cheap sticker) and it wasn’t even in the box, which indicates it was shipped without it. If I had known how inexpensive the decals are, I might have chosen the white version that doesn’t have any.

I have a feeling they’re using the same old molds; this piece is thick, sturdy, and reminiscent of those found at flea markets. Just a heads up: similar to the older versions, it doesn’t have a plug for removing coins, but it’s quite large and will take a while to fill up. Mine arrived missing the promised eye decals, but the eyes are molded in clearly and were easy to paint with enamel. Nail polish could work too if you have a good cat’s eye shade on hand. It’s about cat-sized, and my cat took a solid ten minutes of observing before he decided to approach it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it deterred birds as well.

This is really impressive! I was looking for something I couldn’t easily open, and this fits the bill perfectly. I love its design, and it’s quite spacious, capable of holding a lot of cash. It also serves as a decorative piece, blending in rather than standing out like a typical piggy bank that might attract attention. Interestingly, many of these come with one eye, just like mine did, but my daughter, who is an artist, added her own creative touch. I don’t understand the complaints about its inability to open; the whole idea is to SAVE money, not to withdraw and spend it!

I overlooked the fact that it doesn’t light up. Upon re-reading the description, I also noticed there are no holes for a bank in the cat. It’s cute, but it didn’t meet my expectations based on the listing.

I absolutely adore this bank! My husband tends to scatter small change everywhere, so I wanted to find something for him to store those coins. This cat is just perfect – it’s tall enough to sit on the floor without being a tripping hazard and looks gorgeous! After I removed the unattractive yellow stickers from its eyes, its face became so much cuter and more expressive (thankfully, they came off easily without leaving any residue). I don’t understand why some people deducted stars because of the stickers; the carved eyes underneath are far more beautiful.
